Via del Duca Casa Coppi and Rifugio Casentini Hut

This itinerary leads to the discovery of beautiful panoramas between the region of Emilia Romagna, the area of Garfagnana and the Appennino Pistoiese Mountains. In some tracts, it is necessary to walk your bike. Starting from Casa Coppi, located in Val di Luce, just a few kilometres from Abetone, the road climbs until it reaches Foce a Giovo, where you can enjoy a spectacular view. This itinerary also crosses the famous Hannial's Pass. Optionally, you can descend toward the Rifugio Casentini hut in Garfagnana, where you can also admire the mountain chain containing the Orrido di Botri, a "canyon" dug by the waters of the Mariana and Ribellino streams. Caution is recommended on the single-tracks. Excursion to be done in Spring-Summer.
