Picturesque village clinging on the Tuscan hills, made famous by writer Carlo Lorenzoni, a.k.a. Collodi, who wrote the very popular fairytale "The Adventures of Pinocchio: Story of a Puppet." To pay homage to this work, the Parco di Pinocchio (Pinocchio Park) was created between 1956 and 1987 near the Giardini di Collodi. The park is structured like a journey where one can relive the various events of the fairytale and interact with the characters of the story. The Parco di Pinocchio is immersed in the typical greenery of the area and is an entertaining Mecca for young and old. |
